Cake Mountain Hunting Rare Cakes
Use depth, luck, spoon power, and time on a layer — without invented drop rates.
Cake Mountain advertises Rare, Legendary, and Mythical cakes on a mountain that holds hundreds of cakes. FUNgry has not published drop percentages, named cakes, or a spoon-by-spoon loot table. This guide stays inside that limit. It explains how rarity usually works in Roblox incrementals, maps those levers onto the kitchen you can actually see, and tells you what to do with a high-rarity slice once it lands in the bag.
If you still need the first-session loop, read getting started and how to play first. Rare hunting on a full bag and a starter spoon is mostly waiting. If you already have coins, pair this page with upgrades so the next spoon is doing real work.
Official rarities, unofficial tables
The listing names three premium bands: Rare, Legendary, and Mythical. Treat those as the official ladder above ordinary slices. This wiki will not invent a Common / Uncommon / Epic grid, color codes, or percent chances. When a cake shows a rarity tag in-game, believe the tag. When a YouTube thumbnail invents a 0.01% Mythical, ignore it unless FUNgry posts the number.
Use the cake tier list as the ranking companion to this walkthrough. Use the cake collection page when you want a checklist of what you have seen, not a fake drop table. Both pages will stay empty of invented names for the same reason this one does.
Depth is the first lever
In layered incrementals, better loot sits further from spawn. Cake Mountain is a giant rainbow cake with layers you can see from the kitchen floor. Going deeper — or higher, if the stripe you want is up the mountain — is the obvious rarity lever. You need a spoon that can actually work that layer and a bag that can hold the haul without forcing a sell every few seconds.
Do not treat “deeper” as a promise that every swing at the bottom is Mythical. Depth raises the ceiling. It does not print a rate. If a layer feels dead, you may be under-teched, unlucky, or standing on the wrong stripe. Move, upgrade, or give the layer more time instead of assuming the game is empty.
The official page already teases new cakes and areas. When those ship, depth will likely mean more than the current mountain. Until a patch note names the new zone, stay on the cake you can see and watch the roadmap.
Luck and the group bonus
Join the FUNgry group. The listing grants a luck bonus with the Special Plate. Luck in incrementals usually means more rolls into Rare and above, not a guaranteed Legendary on command. You want that bonus active before you spend an hour on a deep layer. The group bonus walkthrough is the how-to; this page is the why.
There were no confirmed promo codes in September 2026, so do not wait on a luck code that does not exist. If a future code adds luck or a rare cake, it will land on codes. Until then, the group is the only published luck lever.
Spoon power versus time on a layer
A weak spoon on a high layer is a common incremental trap. You arrive at the “good” stripe and chip it at starter speed, which means fewer rolls per minute even if the layer is correct. Upgrade the spoon so each swing is a real roll. Upgrade the bag so you are not walking to sell in the middle of a lucky streak. Speed passes exist (2x Speed at 59 Robux, 2x Eating Speed at 199) if you later decide time-on-layer is worth Robux, but coins on spoon and bag should come first.
Time on a layer still matters. Rarity is a roll. Rolls need volume. Camping a correct layer with a correct spoon is how incrementals actually drop Legendaries, not a single lucky click on spawn frosting. If you bounce every ten seconds looking for a secret room FUNgry never described, you are reducing volume.
Keep, sell, or plate
A Rare is not automatically a museum piece. Some Rares will be vendor trash once you have seen them. A Legendary or Mythical is a different decision. Selling it funds the next spoon. Keeping it funds the plate and the collection. If you are still on the first coin upgrades, selling most Rares is reasonable. If you are decorating, park the best slice instead of auto-cashing it.
That is the handoff to plate decoration. The plate is where favorites live. The collection page is where you remember what you have already found. Do not assume a plated cake still sells for full value, and do not assume it grants extra luck — FUNgry has not said either. The documented luck bonus is the group bonus, not the plate itself.
What this wiki will not invent
No named cakes. No named spoons. No drop percentages. No secret 3 a.m. spawn. No guarantee that Mythical is “one per hour.” Those claims show up on simulator wikis when someone guesses. Cake Mountain is too new and too lightly documented for that. Play the levers that are actually in front of you: join the group, go deeper, swing a stronger spoon, stay on the layer, fill the bag, and decide whether the slice is money or a favorite.
If a later update publishes rates or names, this guide should shrink and the cake tier list should grow. Until then, rare hunting is a discipline, not a spreadsheet. Bring the loop from how to play, spend coins like upgrades recommends, and put the slice you refuse to sell on the plate.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Cake Mountain questions.
What cake rarities does Cake Mountain actually name?
Rare, Legendary, and Mythical. This wiki does not add extra bands or fake percent chances. Rank what you find on the cake tier list.
Do you publish drop rates?
No. FUNgry has not posted percentages. Anyone quoting a 0.01% Mythical is guessing. We will add numbers only if the developer publishes them.
Does the FUNgry group help rare cakes?
The listing includes a luck bonus for group members. Join before a long farm. Steps are on the group bonus page.
Should I sell a Legendary?
Only if you still need coin upgrades more than a showpiece. Collectors should plate it — see plate decoration and the cake collection.
Does going deeper really help?
In layered incrementals, yes, depth is the usual rarity lever. It raises the ceiling; it does not print a guaranteed Mythical on every swing.
Is spoon power more important than luck?
You want both. Luck without swings is idle. Swings without luck and depth are volume on the wrong table. Upgrade the spoon, then stay on the layer.
